We are very pleased to welcome our new Communications & Operations Coordinator, Kelly Ventura

You can read Kelly’s full bio below.

I grew up in El Salvador, where I had the opportunity to work in programs that support urban and rural youth and empower families from underserved communities. I was also lucky to collaborate with organizations that seek justice for human rights violations from the Salvadoran civil war and have contributed to projects concerned with the preservation of collective memory and restorative justice. Prior to joining Pangea, I have served in organizations in Argentina, El Salvador and the United States that have taught me about community development, popular education, domestic violence, among other topics.

I hold a B.A. in Psychology from the Central American University (UCA, El Salvador), and a Master’s degree in Education from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. I have also pursued studies in adult and youth education, political violence, and most recently a certificate in nonprofit management from the University of Washington.

After a few years of roaming between different cities, I settled in Seattle in 2018. Here, I enjoy reading, drinking coffee with my partner, watching my baby chase our cat around, and trying to keep the plants of our garden alive.
